Tipping Attendant For Suite
My husband and I will be cruising soon and will occupy the Royal Suite on an RCCL ship. Does anyone have any guidelines for tipping the stateroom attendant? The suite is large and clearly will take a lot more work for the attendant. I know a standard tip is not adequate, but do I base it upon square footage, cost, etc.?

You could ask the cruiseline what their recommendation might be. I'm not sure they adjust their suggested amount for a suite.

You were right; they suggest the standard tips. Thanks any way!

We travel in suites when we cruise and we have never just given the standard tip to our attendant of our stateroom. You are waited on hand and food when you book a suite. There is just about nothing you can ask for they will not go out of their to do for you. We have gotten seats in Portofino's when they were booked up. We also tip the concierge if we use him.

Re: Tipping Attendant For Suite
the basic tip for a cabin attendant is 3.50 per person per day
the same holds true for the butler
if you feel the service is worth it then i would increase my tip
