15% bar tip on soda pop?

I read that Carnival Cruises levies a 15% bar tip on all bar orders... then I heard that soda pop is available at the bars only.. Does this mean, that there will automatically be a 15% tip added to my S&S card for each can of pop I purchase? What if I purchase the fountain pop card, would there still be a 15% tip added to my S&S card for each fountain drink I ordered on my fountain pop card? Are there pop machines elsewhere on the ship?

No machines. Yes, a 15% gratuity is added to each bar purchase -alcoholic otherwise. If you purchase a soda card then a one time 15% gratuity is added to the cost of the card and you will NOT be charged 15% each time you order a soda.

A soda card is a great investment, if you drink soda on a regular basis. It came in handy during the shows, in the bars, and when my family wanted a soda. Since we had the card, we didn't have to think about the gratuity after we bought the card.

Can anyone tell me....how much are these cards for unlimited soft drinks?

Thanks!

On my last two Princess cruises, the cards were $25.00 for 10 days and that included the souvenir drink cup. Many have posted that you can save a few bucks by not getting the souvenir cup, but they would not let me get the card without the cup on these cruises.

On Carnival in June (7 night trip) the cost of a child's soda card was $28, not including 15% gratuity........total was around $32. I'm not sure how much an adult card cost, but it is more than the child's card.
