Tips for using the t-pool?

Bought the unlimited spa pool visits on Century . There was a tip added to the charge. For what? I picked up a towel, I put myself in the pool, and I placed the used towel in a basket. I' fine with tipping for service, but a tip for using the pool in addition to the charge for the priviledge. And, why does the T-pool still cost extra on Century when other ships don't charge for it?

Did you ask the purser's desk why you had to tip for a self-service activity? Sounds like a strange charge to me................................

T pool on Millenium class ships is a large heated swimming pool with some jets of water. It is in a public area and access is not limited. T pool on Century Class ships is located inside the Spa. It is small, and much more like a private spa experience. On some cruises you can find 50 people in the T pool on a Millenium class ship. On Century , 5 or 6 would be a lot.
Perhaps they now add a tip for spa personnel handing out towels and locker keys. They were not doing that 3 months ago on Century.

I just returned from Phoenix staying at the Hilton Pointe Tapatio Resort. One can of coke out of the room fridge was $3.00 (no problem) plus tax and a 15% service charge. I resented the s.c. since no one waited on me. What a rip off!!
