Tipping

I'm a first time cruiser and just found the link to the cruise tip calculator, my question is, is my 14 yr old son a child or an adult????????????

He should tip the adult rate.

I have two kids and could not see tipping the same rate as adults, but if the service is good, then the tip is better, regardless of the rate the ship says you should do.

Usually the crew treat the kids much better.
The kids eat in the dining rooms, sleep in the beds and what what I have seen passing some cabins they need more time cleaning the rooms with kids in them....so why not tip the same rate.
