Dave, she looks like the lady behind you in your picture! Look at the nose and the eyes.

A Marine and Navy guy were in the bathroom on a cruise ship. The Navy guy is washing his hands and noticing the Marine leaving without washing his hands and says, "In the Navy, they taught us to wash our hands after using the bathroom"

The Marine says, "In the Marines they taught us not to piss on our hands"

I've heard so many versions of that joke. My preference was for the Harvard versus Yale gents.

I love jokes

What do you call an American with a sense of humour that also understands irony.

An illegal immigrant or maybe Canadian

Why do Scottish me wear skirts?

SO they can take a leak and then not have to wash their hands.

What's the difference between a kilt and a skirt? Does the name "kilt" make you feel more manly? I'm just a dumb, female american these kinds of things need to be explained.

Kat there are Kilt Inspectors

Rules of Engagement for Certified Kilt Inspectors:
Kilt inspections are to be performed only after receiving permission (or an invitation). If a person inspects up your kilt without your permission he/she go to jail.
Kilt inspections are to be done using either one or both hands or the eyes. A "lift & peek" is a sure sign of an amateur kilt inspector.
A "lift & peek" is acceptable only when the kilt wearer is doing the lifting and the inspector is doing the peeking. If an inspection has not been requested by all peekers then it is flashing, not an inspection.
It is appropriate to provide a reward after one passes inspection. It is also appropriate to provide punishment if one fails inspection.

As kilts became part of the uniform in some military regiments underwear was not allowed. Soldiers in these regiments were subject to "Kilt Inspections" to ensure that they were in compliance.

Default Tacky dress on ship

Okay, help me out here. I'm old and naive. What are S.U.S. and CZ's?

We just came back from a really relaxing cruise to the Mexican Riviera. For the first time ever on a cruise, we never went to the formal dining rooms. The buffet and pizza on the Dawn Princess were excellent, and we were just enjoying being lazy and not changing clothes for dinner. But we did sit and had fun watching the people going to dinner in their formal attire -- didn't see any two ladies dressed alike! When we goo to Antarctica in February on the Star Princess, I imagine we'll exert ourselves and dress up at least once.

You make and excellence point. However, once in a while you want to eat some fruit just to keep everything flowing right.

The "cruisequeen" question

"What's the difference between a kilt and a skirt? Does the name "kilt" make you feel more manly? I'm just a dumb, female american these kinds of things need to be explained. "

Good question: 8) The kilt was basically yards of woven cloth that could be used to cover your xxxx and not the stitched or machine pleated versions we see today. It was your lower body covered in yards of warm material that could be used as a blanket or shelter when living on the hill.

In battle it was free flowing and if needed could be discarded at the drop of a belt,,,and they did.

In those days you did not have underwear, so the traditional way to wear it was going "commando". That tradition has carried on since.

For the Scottish armed forces that tradition still carries on and your company sergeant when we are in traditional dress will inspect the troops with what looks like a car wing mirror on a stick to see what’s below your kilt.

There is nothing worn beneath my kilt, its all in perfect working order

Hi David,

It was never my question. I think it was another posters question.
Thanks for sharing with the class that nothing is worn beneath your kilt. 8)

FYI the spare tire floating overtop the overly tight, and way, way, way too short cut pants are called MUFFINTOPS.

I agree, some women need to look and think twice before dressing in extreme low cut pants that are two to four sizes to small for them. I will share with you a few EWW moments. I was at a movie theater and this young lady in her teens who was rather heavy (200+ lbs) was wearing ultra low cut jeans (NOT a good idea if you are over 120lbs) and a g-string (I refuse to call them thongs-thongs are what you wear in pairs on your feet!!). Well lets just say she got up to get something and she needed to bend over.....Uhm, I think you know where I am going....lets just say 1/2 of the theater got a very UNEEDED mooning by this rather chunky teenager, and she didn't care. Sadly, I was in direct line view and shook my head as I lowered and thought to my self WHY!!!!!!!!

I was also coming home on the bus one day and a teenager was getting off the bus with her baby when she got up to put stuff in the bottom of the stroller....Well lets just say she decided to NOT wear a g-string that day and decided to wear the ultra-extreme-don't-bother-sitting-down-pants-because-if-you-do-you'll-flash-fur-and-crack pants....Yup, you guessed it, she flashed the entire bus......20+ people...I can see why she was a teenage mother dressed the way she was. She'd have a dozen horny teenage boys waiting in line to do her dressed the way she was....The only good thing to say about her was she was skinny and didn't have a muffin top....

DayvidB stated:

To this day, there are different types of this techique. I will do some law enforcement teaching here. The people that wear their pants so big that the have to always pull them up... there are a few kids that do that because they think it is cool. NOW... after spending 12 years as a Sergeant in the Disruptive Groups Unit (gangs) at my former employer, the truth as to why these types of people wear their pants in this manner is to do exactly as DayvidB stated... they lose them to get away. The pants, as the kilt, come off during the struggle, and the good guy is left holding a piece of clothing while the perpetrator is racing away.
