Default Dress Codes

Hurray for dress codes!!! You are so right, it is what sets cruising apart. What is so hard about wearing a dark suit? I've been cruising for over 12 years & have accumulated several tuxes and can even tie my own bow tie. I love the oppurtunity to dress up for the entire night. Going out & looking good has always been a type of friendly, social competition. Most people, especially women, understand this. I don't go to a super-bowl party in my tux, nor do I act as politely as I do on a formal night. We are both individuals & social animals, therefore, make your own statement within the context of the environment you find yourself in. This is zen. Otherwise, you are an insecure moron.

Not sure I agree with the last part of this post. Some of us act polite and feel secure in any type of clothing we wear.

My husband purchased a tux for our very first cruise 16 years ago. It has served him well - better than a suit. He loves that expando waist. (On the tux - not on him.)

I loved your statement "I don't go to a super-bowl party in my tux..." To me, that really sums it up - dress for the occasion!

Pick the type of cruise that fits your dress (or undress) needs!
