I read "Kuki's" article, about cruise ship dress becoming too
casual, with delight.I for one would never travel on any other
cruise line than NCL because of there free-style dress and
dining. For those that want more formal attire and assigned
seating, you have it! But we who enjoy casual dress and dining
can escape the formal scene and dine in Italian, French, Asian,
Spanish resturants. If want to dress up and have your picture
taken with the captain great. Personally I am not interested
in waiting in long lines in formal attire to have my picture
taken with a total stranger, the captain! I have been turned
off watching waiters turn themselves inside out performing
for tips. Better to have tips put on my ship bill daily and
avoid the "play acting" by waiters, they are not trained seals
nor should they have to act like ones. It's time to end the
knapkin folding classes and have some meaningful classes
lectures pertaining the cruise. Thank you NCL!!
Dick.. I'm delighted to see your post. Your point of view makes perfect sense!!
The NCL cruise experience suits your needs, so that's where you choose to spend your cruising dollars.
If everyone was sensible choosing the ship to match their needs, rather than trying to have the cruise line conform to them, I would have had nothing to write about <G>
