To all who say......we show our affection in private....not public........I say BULL.....People who say that have no private interaction either. Affection toward eachother isn't something that one can turn off and on....either you have it or you don't!
People show affection in MANY ways. A loving glance across a table can often be more dynamic and electric than exchanging saliva. Just as a light caress of a loved one's arm may have more of an affect than sqeezing their buttocks.
Each to their own.. different things work for different people.. but to my view there's nothing particularily romantic or intimate about someone with their tongues in their "loved" ones mouths or sucking on their ears during dinner. It just seems to imply the servers are leaving too long between courses <G>
By definition intimate means... of a very private and personal nature.
Kuki's opening line was" people show affection in many different ways". I remember the old "blow in my ear and I'll follow you any where".Perhaps this is the heavy duty version of that. It IS DIFFERENT.
In my point of view, too much public "affection" is more like public disrespect of you loved one! I agree with Kuki, holding hands, a caress, a glance, etc are just as meaningful and in a lot better taste.
