Cruise Lines Sued For Polluting

This is not a personal gripe but where else can this information be posted ? According to an article in the Los Angeles Time no sooner have we heard about Carnival Cruise Lines being fined $18 million for pollution, Environmental groups have filed a suit alleging Carnival Cruise Line, Princess Cruises, Royal Caribbean & Holland American have been dumping untreated ballast water into west coast harbors. It isalkleged that the untreated water, often obtained in foreign ports is disrupting ecosystems.

Nothing new there now is there? For years they have been doing that. Then again, where are they supposed to dump it? I have never seen a waste water dumping station at sea, so no matter where they dump it, it is going to cause damage somewhere. What is not mentioned is that ALL ships do that, not just cruise ships. I saw the article in the Miami Herald.
