Can anybody get through to the Jamaicans that the looooong walk (looks like about 6 blocks) on the main pier is much too much for a lot of cruisers? To get to most of the shore excursions, you have to do this long, long walk to the terminal to get to the buses (and the hordes of people waiting to hassle you). It's a bit much in the hot sun. Why don't they have pedicabs or something similar (like the little train in Puentarenas) for those who would rather not walk?
I cruise the Emerald Princess, Eastern Caribbean on April 16, 2012
I am and have always been a firm advocate for physical fitness......but I think CruzNut is referring to the elderly or people with medical problems, who for health and strength reasons due to age, injury or illness find the walk uncomfortably long. I agree CruzNut..........some form of transport is needed. Very good point....maybe some cruise reps are watching and will remedy this situation .
