Default Gripers Cruise-TA Selection

We will need a TA to handle the misarrangements of our cruise. I'm figuring we need a greedy, unresponsive, incompetent, inexperienced agent if we are to get this trip organized and off the ground on the wrong foot.
Your thoughts on this subject.

We should find out who the agent was that prompted Kuki to write that article about bewaring of unscrupulous travel agents. Sounds like a winner.

Cheers,
Michelle B.

Damn, PB, you're really on top of this. I think you ought to handle the misarrangements!

Rick can handle the nonpaying slot machines and the perpetual deck chair savers.

I'll handle the slow poke buffet patrons and cap wearing dinner guests.

Regard,
Thomas

I am ready to serve! Thomas, in addition to those duties, please put me in charge of parents of unruly kids.

I'll take the unruly kids and theatre seat savers. To whom can we assign the task of making sure that no one arrives at embarkation with documents properly filled out?

Let's put Michelle in charge of making sure nobody has their documents filled out. If anybody has completed their documents prior to getting to the desk, she can take them and rip them up. People are less likely to strike a female and my face bruises too easily.

Regards,
Thomas

Sounds like a good job for me, Thomas! I can also be in charge of wild spring-breaking college students.

Cheers,
Michelle B.

As for completed documents pre-boarding, I think the best option would be to tell everyone upon arrival at the port that there is a new form they have to fill out that makes any previously distributed (and completed) forms obsolete. Be sure these require information that very few people know by memory and that the only copies of the form available are in an obscure dialect of Chinese. Don't worry though, you'll have one translator (although she only knows French as a second language) who is there to assist you in completing this form - in triplicate because the printer forgot to use the right paper and it doesn't transfer through from the top page.

Hey, this is fun... and I've never been on a cruise - just using my reading of posts here as my "experience".

Don't forget, you'll need to be sure that during the pre-debark period there are at least 12 people who don't respond to the first 30 pages to meet with the immigration authorities.

Whoever is in charge of the unruly kids must be sure to have them in the stairways during debarking - preferably leaving a path through no wider than 10 inches... and that 10 inches is currently occupied by a group of slow moving seniors who must stop to take a breath on each step - then complain about lack of courtesy in kids today.

Pamda, why don't you be in charge of choosing the world's rudest, most stuck-up people to put in the suites? Remember, they need to be ill-mannered bores who will lord their wealth and status over the rest of us at any available opportunity.

Cheers,
Michelle B.

Um, Michelle ...

Are you assigning me this important position because I am a card-carrying Republican and can recognize those sorts of people from 100 yards off?

Pamda,
I had just remembered something you said in an earlier post that "one of the rudest people [you've] ever met was wearing enough jewelry to feed a third-world nation" and that sometimes the people in the suites have been the rudest people.

Forgive the paraphrasing.

I thought maybe you could look these people up and invite them to come along.

Cheers,
Michelle B.
(also a card-carrying Republican)
