Default The phony excuse makers

I never leave a tip in a hotel room, why should I on a ship?

I can't see paying for a coke or Beer, so I thin I have the right to bring my own!

I know I booked a ship with a dress code, but it is my vacation!

Of course I have to hold ten deck chairs, my Bingo group might show up any minute!

Why should I have to gt up on that last morning just because they "claim" I need to visit with Customs, Customs can wait, it is my vacation!

Hey, if I want to sit on the stairs and block those on tours, tht's too bad, I paid for my this too and I won't buy the ship's lousy tours either!

I deal with my kids 51 weeks out of the year, I paid for this cruise, you deal with my ill mannered, rude, obnoxious kids, i am on vacation!

and the latest one....

I know the Norway had an explosion, but I am hot and uncomfortable standing here at this stupid lifeboat station! How rude of those NCl people!

I am sure I missed a few, but wanted to get the ball rolling

You are entitled to your opion and thanks for sharing it. Just remember - others paid for this trip to. Yes it's your vacation but you have to deal with things on vacation, just as you do in real day to day life. I don't have kids and don't appreciate their bad manners - but then who is to blame - the parents? Most likely. I have to use the hand rails to climbs steps so if your sitting there I can't do that and that makes for a bad time on my vacation. If you don't want to dress for dinner then don't come to the main dining room - you won't starve on the ship. Shore excursions are available, but it doesn't mean you have to purchase them on the ship - but don't complain that the cruise lines make them available. That's a convience for those who want to take advantage of it. Convience costs.

I agree with Lisa - the poster was merely repeating some commonly heard excuses and was making a point about how ridiculous they sound.

Thank you cruisequeen, i was being as sarcastic as possible!
Still looking for other 'thoughts"

Actually, my favorite experience was Formal Night on the Norwegian Sea. This guy came in very drunk, in shorts, a sleeveless Cozumel T-Shirt, he smelled, he was loud and had a really foul mouth, "this is my F....cruise, etc, etc, etc," his entire table got up and left him sitting there.

Reminds me of many folsk that always have an excuse for their behavior and those with manners just let it go.

John, I don't see the cruise ship listed that I was on, do I? {{grin}} Or was your question directed to Jim?

That was directed for Jim. I was in Coz on the Sea last march and there was 1 guy in his 40's with long blond hair that was wasted the entire time. I could envision him doing something like that!

Joe,
Our next cruise just changed! We switched from the NCL Dream to the Sea. Great itinerary. Dec 6th.
Hope you were not asking in order to see if I have deck chairs, arrive for dinner in a dirty shirt, treat the ship's staff poorly, etc!
