Griping about cruise schedules

Come on people!! Worrying about a August 2004 schedule? Sure we all want to plan ahead, but it is only July 7th 2003. There are plenty of people that would envy any of us that can cruise here and there and it really seems petty to gripe about this.

The reason why I started the thread about the 2004 schedules for Celebrity is that I've read on another board that Celebrity was supposed to come out with their 2004 schedules in May, then June, and then July 3.

I like to (and need to) plan quite a bit ahead our cruise.

I don't think it's foolish to be looking for 2004 schedules. I booked our November 2003 cruise in July 2002 to be sure we got the room we wanted.

This is the Gripes folder after all! Maybe we should gripe about the people who are griping about the gripes!

I just like to look ahead and dream about vacations...and if a good deal comes up, maybe I'll take it when I am 21 and can cruise w/o another adult present. It is just nice to know...

WE book our cruises as long as 15 months in advance. Coordinating vacation times is one issue and getting the exact cruise, ship, room etc that we want is another. Right now we are about to book for mid Sept 2004. We know the cruise but it is not out on any official schedule as of yet.
Besides, griping here is cheaper than going to a therapist.

I do know that my sister and her husband are looking to book a repositioning with Celebrity and stay in Europe either before or after. If they don't find out the cruiselines schedule then they'll not be able to book their rooms for their European stay in advance or their flights. So in my opinion Celebrity should get their __ses in gear.

I booked my August/Sept. 2004 cruise with Princess already! I knew they were having a transatlantic then I saw the schedule in the Captain's Circle mag, I tacked on a 10 day cruise prior to the Transatlantic. Couldn't figure it all out without the 2004 schedules!

We have to book this far in advance with 8 people going so we can coordinate everyones schedules. If it was just my husband and I no big deal - we would prefer last minute. Also, if pricing goes down, you get the best prices because they will reimburse you the difference. Which is another perk for when you are trying to get a group together with some members who may be concerned with cost.

When you're planning 2 cruises at a time for the same year, for many people, you need the schedules well in advance.

Not only that, you need to budget! That's why I want the schedules.

I'll continue to gripe. Celebrity still has not posted all of their summer/fall 2004 schedule, though we MIGHT do an Alaska cruise in May it sure would be nice if all of their schedules are posted. I would like to do a Bermuda cruise in May but my hubby likes the idea of an Alaska one.

I sure do wish someone would tell me what makes it so difficult for RC/Celebrity to have not posted and completed their schedules for 2004. I only wish that they have decided to expand their itineraries to other places in the world, for example the South Pacific/Tahiti.

If they are waiting so they can change where, when and for how long, then it will be worth the wait. It would be even nicer if they were lowering their prices!! We can always hope!
