On an earlier post someone mentioned a teenager of 13 should not go into the hot tubs/spas. I am 15 and one of my favorite things to do is sit and relax in a hot tub. I see no reason why I shouldn't be allowed to do this. if i want to relax, i have the same right as the adults. I shouldn't have to stay out of a hot tub when the cruise costs so much. even if the sign says 18 and under not allowed, a person younger than that should be allowed in if they are responsible. if the cruise really wants adults only in the hot tub, then they need to find a better deterrant than a sign. I refuse to sit and watch people 3 years older than me sit and enjoy the soothing water while i sit on a deck chair... it won't happen. it isn't like i am disrupting someone... if adults want to use the hot tub and be alone, they should go to the adult deck.

Re: Hot Tub are not Kiddie Pools!
Stephanie......why do you think you are above the rules that apply to the rest of us? Just because YOU think you are responsible, doesn't mean you really are! Do you drive even though you are not 16 or don't actually have a license? Do you drink even though you are not 21 (or 18 depending on where you live)? Do you buy and smoke cigarettes even though you legally can't until you are 18? Rules are in place for a reason....and before you ask, yes I did get my license at 16, and I waited til I was legal to have my first drink, and no , I don't smoke now, but I did for a few months when I was 19.
Respect for rules and laws is essential - just because you don't agree with them doesn't mean you shouldn't follow them. It is called being mature and responsible.
Carnival Breeze with Ray B and Aerogirl 5/4/14!
For those who have cruised on RCCL ships, are they persistent in enforcing adults only in the hot tubs? I don't mind if there is a child supervised in the tub with an adult. But I want to look forward to it not being a potty training tub either.
I noticed on Carnival Pride last year that hot tubs were usually full of kids. I find Carnival staff usually non-confrontational and don't approach situations such as these unless they are asked by fellow passengers or unless it is a dangerous situation. Even then there were two situations when a staff member called security to confront the issue. If I want to be in a hot tub badly enough and their are children I would just chase them off myself. Ilve learned on the past cruises that I've been on passengers seem to think rules apply to everyone but themselves. I had a confrontation over an unused-reserved deck chair last year but thats another story.
i think it boils down to... no pun intnended.
sorry ass parents
my mom would have beat my butt raw if i broke the rules!
anyway .... ithink if you want to take your kids on a cruise, then go on disney!

I would have to agree about the parent thing. I don't mind well behaved kids or kids in hot tubs. I mind unruly ones who's parents think its the part of the cruise line to watch over them in every aspect while they are off in oblivion ignoring the rules. My parents would have paddle my butt too if i was disrespectful or ignored rules as well shubaby.
