Default Don't drop your bike...

I went on an cruise to Alaska last summer; I bought a package that allowed me to take a bike from the ship and see the sights by bike.. I was tendering back to the ship and was handing the bike up and it slipped and sunk into the chilly waterers of Alaska
I thought it was not really my fault and the cruise line charged me $450 for a new bike..
I think they should of had a better method of taking the bike up.... I would highly recommend the biking just have a firm grip.....

Oh my gosh Mark that's awful...funny to imagine the bike slipping and going into the waters but I can't believe they charged you that much money! Good tip however to keep in mind.

Wow, that's one expensive bike! I hope you wrote to the cruiseline, not to be negative, but to suggest they find a better way to transfer the bikes over.

Cheers,
Michelle B.

I hope you disputed that charge! i think that's ridiculous. It wasn't your fault that the bike slipped, its not like you threw it into the water on purpose.

Wow, You shouldnt have to hand them the bike up like that. What if
you would of fell over? I would fight that charge, thats not right. I couldnt
pick a bike up and lift it up to them. I would have dropped it too. Sorry
all that happened to ya, hope you enjoyed your bike ride

Mark - what kind of bike was it(brand name and type of bike?) And who was holding it when it slipped?
