Default Seattle hotel

We don't know where to stay in Seattle near the cruise lines. We're doing Alaska on Celebrity's Mercury and need to find a hotel near the pier with a shuttle to the pier. Could any of you locals help me? Also need to get from the airport to the hotel. If you have any other tips for us please pass them on. Thanks, Ann

Matthew -

Do you tutor other teens in online research for parents? ! I'd like to recruit my sons to help out like this-- I'm impressed:-) Your parents are very blessed.

You could stay at the Edgewater. It is right by where the ship will be leaving from.

dalech-- as I recall, Edgewater is gorgeous-- and EXTREMELY pricey. But only one ship ties up at the pier next door. When I cruised in May of '03, that spot was taken by my ship, NCL's Norwegian Sky. The ship has since been renamed/reflagged for Hawaii, but NCL may still be the only line using that pier; others are miles away. Ann, I'd suggest you check w. the cruiseline for info on where your vessel will be. You might also find it helpful to check out what I wrote after returning from that cruise under "Seattle: cheap sleeps, good eats & transportation tips" in the "Hotels" message board, from June or July of '03.

Have a great trip-- jeph

It's not right next to the cruise terminal for Princess and Holland America it's true, but there is nothing really right next to that cruise terminal. There really isn't a lot of hotels betwen the stadiums and the cruise terminals, although you could stay in Pioneer Square if you want.
