Young Children, Rude Seniors, Wild Teenagers And Large Peop

When can you cruise to avoid all of these people? The answer is that you can't!

If you cruise in the summer, you will encounter young children including some infants. Should you cruise over the Holidays or during spring break, you will encounter wild young people. If you cruise during other times in the winter months, you will encounter rude seniors. If you cruise anytime, you will encounter large people.

Although few things bother me when I am having fun on a cruise, I do prefer to take long cruises during the winter months. That way my dinner companions and myself can sit around the dinner table counting our pills in peace. Then, we can find nice lounge chairs and listen to each other's bones creak.

WHAT IS WRONG ABOUT LARGE PEOPLE?

I myself am over 6' 1" nearly 300 pounds. Can't help it I was born tall. I bath daily and twice if I am sweaty after hard work or excerise. I work every day, pay my own cruise fare.

So please explan what is wrong about cruising with big people?

My only complaint about Large People on board is that at 6' and 245 lbs I was not sufficiently large enough to enter the belly flop contest.

It doesn't sound like Paul himself was complaining about us large people. He sounds like he is just responding to all the people that say large people are disgusting to look ar/take up too much room and that children, rude seniors and wild teenagers are annoying. I'm large too - 5'6" is all and 285 lbs (hey, down from 310, ). I've seen some people on here saying they hate big people on their cruises for whatever reason, Paul is saying we're going to be there no matter what, and don't cruise if it bothers you that much. :-D

Amen duct tape! I've only cruised twice, but have yet to encounter the "wild teens." However, the drunken obnoxious folks are easy to find...

Dorothy, I guess it should be wild young people under 25, rather than teen agers. Since we never cruise over spring break, we have never encountered very many.

Anyhow, nothing and no one seems to bother us much on our cruises.

Tonja, I have nothing to hide, and I don't judge people. The point is that cruisers who are bothered by other people or situations should either cruise when such situations are not likely to exist or else accept the fact that none of us is perfect.

I have never seen any large person or teens behave badly. I have seen foolish seniors yell at the crew or drunk yuppies fall down on themselves. Do you think their kids are learning bad habbits from them?

Mikey, not sure on what the question was, but yes yelling at the crew, falling down down drunk "no matter your social status", all lead to children being taught bad habits or manners from those around them. The sad part is they do not see it as rude, but what adults do and socially acceptable.
