Default People Who Post Cheery Weather Messages

New gripes are hard to come by these days.

I am thinking about those of us, including myself, who post such cheery messages on cold winter days as "Just looked outside and the sun is shining, it is 75 and the birds are singing" or " Spent four hours at the beach scuba diving, then a couple of hours on the deck drinking frozen thingees, It was glorious!"

When someone looks outside at a foot of new snow that needs removed and the temperature is below zero or hears on the radio that all the roads are closed and that
many homes are without electricity because of ice on the power lines, are warm cheery messages really what they want to hear?

Hi Paul, hope you're well bud

Well I enjoy them especially if they come from Mates that I know and can relate too and I imagine that across the various boards other people will feel the same with their posting mates.

Plus when you are sitting like tonight (in Scotland) in 90 mph winds, rain, winter darkness and flooding. It just makes me look forward even more to that next cruise

In that case David, I just have to tell you about the calm, sunny 76 degree weather
here in San Antonio, Texas this afternoon.

Enjoy!!

I don't like the heat at all. I'm envious (and some may say crazy) of those of you who are having a real winter, you know, snow, 20 degrees, etc. I need to x-c ski and ice skate so that when my cruise finally comes in April I'm completely appreciative of the warm climate. I wouldn't give up living in the northeast for anyplace in the country!

We brought warm weather back to North Carolina from our holiday cruise. We've had a few record highs--in the 70s. But it's going to get back below freezing this weekend and back to normal temperatures--lows in the 20s and highs in the 40s.

I guess the only advise to those "suffering" in a winter blast......MOVE!

72, sunny and no state income tax here in North Texas

Always figured there's nothing you can do about the weather, so might as well enjoy it. Plan to take the dog into the bush tomorrow (I'll have to wear snow shoes) and hubby is already planning ice fishing and snowmobiling with the boys this weekend.

Might as well make lemonade out of lemons. Besides, it was only -30 this morning when I got up.

This was New Years Day on St Pete Beach. There was sand piled up all over the place. you needed a shovel just to get to your beach chair. My son was so cold he had to put a towel on when he got out of the pool.

Yeah, I know Banker. We get tired of the white stuff too. It get's in the car, the kids track it in the house, it get's in your swimsuit. Ugh.... get me out of this no man's land!!!

Dave the kids are SO CUTE!!!

Banker I wish I was where you are. In Tallahassee one day it is 25 degrees outside and the next it is 80. No wonder I got the flu. If it is going to be freezing I wish we could at least have snow.

Don't care for the snow unless it's under my skis.

Glad to live in the drinking state with a voting problem.

Regards,
Thomas

Thomas when did we get to be the drinking state. I'm in a drip county that only allows beer and coolers because we all know you can't be an alcohoic on beer and coolers.

Yep, that is almost as bad as the folk who post about the cruise they booked while I'm still cruiseless. Oh, wait, I do have a cruise coming up. It is only a weekender so I usually don't count them. And by the by it was a frigid 68 here today.
