Thomas, wish I had that young lady's "gut instinct" !!!!!
Thats how I normally play, especially with three or four decks in the shoe and coming onto an already warm table. But my gut unfortunately does not return such rewards !!
Rochesterny, has rebalanced the original position great, thats what talking is all about.
Basic rule.... walk into the casino expecting to lose your personal limit. If you walk out winning its pure luck and a good chance it will not be repeated the next night. So for the majority have fun, know your limit, spend it and walk away,,,especially when winning !
Dorothy, don't know about the Miracle. It would have to sail from Galveston or New Orleans. I'm not a "flyer" if I can help it!
I appreciate the advice from eveyone about asking for help. Just back from a short trip to Tunica, but didn't try Blackjack. Lost my $ at Video Poker! (Didn't ask DH how he did-sometimes ignorance is bliss.)
Thomas, where can I find the cheat sheet? A search for Blackjack, or is there a specific site? Please E-mail me if it's a commercial site. Also, in the off chance that I played and won big bucks, how much should I tip the dealer? Thanks.
sea u later, I'm glad it was posted here as I rarely go to the Gambling Room!
Yeah, go to Google and type in something like "blackjack odds" or "Blackjack strategy." You'll find a bunch of sites. The one I learned from was called something like blackjackstrategy.com or something similar. Be warned though, a bunch of internet gambling sites will also appear.
Once you find a site that has a downloadable strategy table, make sure you select the one for multiple deck shoes. The one I have I got years ago and just made a bunch of copies and put the copies in my suitcases, briefcase, wallet, daytimer. So I studied the table relentlessly everytime I went to a casino until now I no longer have to take it with me.
If you're at a $5 table and are winning, tip the dealer $5. Or sometimes I'll put out a $1 chip next to my bet and tell the dealer that's his bet. And if it wins, he takes the $1 bet winner.
