Default qruisequick,if you are going use them, talk to me first

yes they have the best prices, but thats where the good part ends. althought its my fault, burn me once shame on you, burn me twice, shame on me....and they got me the second time. First time they never sent my docs, i had to get them from RCCL directly.
second time...charging twice for ins. Sending paid in full messages, but never payoing RCCL or th Ins company. Mispelling names repeatedly after being corrected And try to corrispond with them....the arrogance is blood boiling!!!!! mama allways said you get what you pay for!!!!........i just venting .................

I don't completely agree with "you will pay top dollar booking directly with a cruiseline." I called several agencies and was told I got a good price from the cruise line and they couldn't beat it. I think you just need to shop around.

We just booked 2 RCI cruises directly with the cruise line, back to back for dec 05, we got a fabulous deal for the 7 day and 5 day cruises, paid $699 cdn,($509us) and $479cdn ($399.us) taxes and all fees included. No extra fees to pay the agent either!! You just have to shop around and find the best deal for you.

Well if you cruise at least one time a year with a cruise company then they will give you a return customer benifit. I have recived many great rates this way. My parents and I went on the Holiday 3 years ago stayed in one cabin and only paid one thousand dollars. So go with the company and they will get you the best deal. This is coming from a TA.

If the travel agencies you're contacting are not less expensive than directly with the cruise lines, you're simply not contacting the right agencies.

Even with RCI's latest pricing policies, many travel agencies are offering incentive perks which are cash value add ons.

Also, when booking with a travel agent, you DO NOT pay extra for agency commissions.
The cruise line pays the agents from the ticket price..... and they DO NOT reduce the fares an equivelant amount. By booking directly with the cruise lines you allow them to keep the extra money.

Now, if the cruise lines were to rebate part of what they are saving on agency commissions when you book direct, I would recommend booking with them. BUT, they do not!

And.. if something goes wrong on a particular sailing, and you need assistance dealing with the cruise lines for compensation, a travel agent can help. If you've booked directly with the cruise line you have no one to represent your grievance.

I've booked both through a TA and directly with the cruise line. In each instance, I got a great price. Sometimes TAs just can't (or won't) beat the cruise line's price.
