I am stunned...I stumped the banker? It is a common term used to describe Carnival..don'r look now but they have "gobbled" up much of the industry.

Ok Texasmunk...here's a new whine....

Why do some of the people at these boards have names (IDs) that cause people like me to waste so much time trying figure out what they are all about....like your's for example, Texasmunk.

The "munk" part...is that like "monk" but misspelled? You know, the short, little, fat, bald guys we see in movies? Kinda like a Friar Tuck type? Or is it short for "chipmunk?"

If it's short for chipmunk then I'm wondering if it has something to do with Chip and Dale, or better yet, Chipndale's. Or maybe it's more like a prairie dog which can be pronounced "parrydog" by some southerners. How do YOU pronounce it?

"Get a life," you might say. I would, if I had time...but unfortunately I spend too much time sitting here thinking about some ot the IDs I see and visualizing butt swiping machines.

There, a new complaint.

Brenda

Brenda, my board name was carefully designed and created as an intellectual riddle to keep everyone guessing, but I didn't work for long.

Munk, ya got me. Never heard that one before (probably because I don't frequent any other boards) but it is quite appropriate.

Texasmunk = where I live and the first four letters of my last name, Munkittrick.

With all the kids running around here, maybe the life of a monk would have been a bit more peaceful...hmm, one will never know!

Banker, don't stop doing what you do! This board would be boring without ya!

WOW, Texasmunk, what an easy explanation for your name. Thanks!

Confession time...I looked at your profile and knew it was the first 4 letters of your last name, but there are others here that aren't so simple. I was just using you as an example...probably because I am pathetically addicted to these boards and couldn't find anything better to write about.

Have a happy day.

Brenda

Hi Brenda,
Do you think about the big wave that hit since you are going on the Dawn? I was thinking about doing that itinerary in April. Noticed NCL is switching it to a different ship.

If I used the same logic as Texasmunk, my screen name would be Texasbeig. I guess I prefer to use my real name.

If you are from Texas, you just gotta be great!

K,

Yes, I did think about that wave...for just a minute...and then I pretended like I didn't know anything about it so I wouldn't worry. A friend was on a cruise where there was something similar that happened and said once they got past being scared it was kinda fun and adventurous. Well...I don't chicken out too easy, but I do hope the seas are calmer on my cruise!

How about the dumb complaint of "they do not keep bread on the table?" How much freakin bread do you need? In most upscale restaurants, they bring a basket to you so that you may choose "a piece" of bread. They do not put an entire basket down on your table so that you can munch away. And we wonder why there is an obesity epidemic in the US. For God's sake, put the bread down.
