different embarking times

You know what I was just thinking..maybe to speed up the process of embarking a person should be assigned a time to be at the pier and you board by cabin assignments. Wonder if it would go faster that way. Would also be nice to have chairs to sit down in while you wait. My hubby is disabled but does not require a cane or anything but he can only stand for so long before his legs start to tire as well as his hips....this is all due to a car accident about 7 years ago. Just a thought..chairs and different embarking times.

Hi - that's a good idea if everyone in your group had the same cabin catagory - otherwise it might not work out so well. If you were in a balcony and your kids in an inside - even across the hall - the boarding times could be different.

I think there should be a separate line for those boarders that need assistance and those with children. Kids don't understand the the long waits and anyone with a physical impairment could suffer from the wait as well.

Those areas could supply seating for those that need it and Moms or Dads to keep the kids happy. One small area shouldn't take that much space - but there would have to be firm rules - or it would be just like handicapped parking - and we all know how well that goes

Yes passengers with children should fall into that catagory too, I am travelling with two myself although they are 8 and 12 they could stand in line for a while..with a little impatience...but those that have say 5 and under should have their separte line up alone!! I know my two year old definately would not want to stand in not line up for any reason even if she knew there were unlimited icecream in the end!! See your point about cabit catagories never thought of that! I have another question when we went on our first cruise there were two different lines what is the the other line up? Oh ya I am east of you...Saskatchewan...LOVE BC we go there every two years to the Fairmont Hot Springs as well as Radium Hot Springs!!

Hi - the "other" line up could be guests in the pricier suites - one of the perks for paying the big bucks. I prefer being in "steerage" myself lol - much more interesting

I have never been to Sasakatchewan - seem to get stuck in Calgary when we head east :o
