I think you get a gold card for booking with carnival again -- and I hear you get a platinum card for booking over 10 cruises. I think it should be the length of time -- I mean 10 3/4 day cruises do not cost as much as 10 -- 7 day cruises.
But does the color of your card really matter ? Do you get any perks for being a repeat cruiser on Carnival as you do on other lines. We've cruised with Carnival 6 times but had no added benefit. We just booked our second RCCL cruise and it seems as if we get more for number 2 than you do with number 7 on Carnival. Anyone know if Carnival has implemented anything more than a different color sign and sail card for their repeat cruisers? Kathy
After 9 cruises, we just got the usual Past guest Cocktail Party invitation and a ship's pin. On our 2nd and 3rd RCCl cruises we got the Cocktail party invation, a nice tote bag and a toiletry bag. I don't remember getting anything for our 2nd Princess cruise.

Naw...not to much of a perk. We got VIP check in (due to the category that we were in) last cruise - and it was our 5th recorded cruise. They don't count cruises before a certain date. But, at least its something.
I, too, have gotten VIP check-in on all but one of my CCL cruises, but we always booked the Suite to get it. Now, I know I don't have to spend more money on the suite, when we would be comfortable in a regular balcony cabin.

my 14 year old gets a kick walking around with his Platinum cruise. (March will be his 13th cruise.)
True, Carnival was little slow off the trigger on the perks, but they are trying to do better.
VIP Check In (my personal favorite)
Free Laundry Service
Personalized Stationary
Carnival Logo bag
Priority Tendering (you don't have to go down and get the tickets - just
show them the ole "Platinum")
Canapes on formal nights delivered to your cabin
Priority Debarkation
And some other stuff I can't remember.
All in all, not bad considering some folks are getting in under 3 day cruises and not 7 day or longer.
The trials on this ended February 12th, so if you are Platinum and your docs were printed prior to this date, you may not have VIP Check In on the upper right corner of your docs....just tell them you are Platinum when you arrive. It is to be implemented fleetwide after the feb 12th date....although we received some of the perks as early as our July cruise on the Spirit to Alaska.

So, is this just Platinum or also VIP? We're VIP due to room choice but would LOVE free laudry service (which would end this non-stop search for a travel steamer).

This is for Platinum status only. Suites get only the VIP Check-in.

I want a $200 onboard credit for every repeat. Now that would be a perk!
Cocktail parties, shirts and pins mean very little. Those cost the line nothing really. How about a drawing for a free cruise and you get one entry for every time you cruised with that line. I have lots of good ideas just no takers.
