If this is my last word, then let it be

"For your information, TODAY, the price of a cruise is the same whether you book it through a Travel Agency, CRUISES Only, Vacations to Go, or whether you book it directly through the Cruise Line. It was different a few years ago, but no longer".

Last word "bollocks" and more jeph, its not a bottom line its only your experience, talk to these folks they will get you a better TA and a better deal

Jeez, no wonder my blood pressure is bursting scales..

Ah Jeph, people, friends and personal business.what a recipe for DISASTER, seen it, been it, got the tshirt, the works.

Hello I am smell waking up to coffee....just how big can this guy punch when your on the cruise and in crap?

That ability is what I pay for 8)

Hmm...sounds to me like somebody woke up on the wrong side of the haggis this morning!

To review: I know the big internet outfits often offer a lower price, but the bottomest possible dollar is not my priority here. And as I also thought I made clear, when the price difference is really substantial, my local travel agent tells me not to stick with him-- get that great deal from the web.

If I think the fact that I consider my TA to be a friend as well a merchant is getting in the way of a rational business relationship, I'll let you know.

Waking up 'n' smellin' the coffee, and/or haggis, "jeph"

Only took us 2 cruises to realize that we did not need a TA. Does anyone doubt that a TA will put their best interest before the travelers? We can do verything a TA can do. There is one thing that we can do that the TA won't do...if the cruise price goes down as it often does, I call the cyuise line and get the adjustment. Not in the best interest of a TA to do that.
