When I checked our flights for our next cruise I discovered that there wasn't enough time to make the connection between flights which would have left us stranded with no further flight that day. I phoned HAL and drew this to their attention and they kept me on hold for an hour while they checked - all they said when they came back on was that our flights would be changed and our TA would let us know.
Now we are getting in late and won't have a chance to see anything of Tampa which is disappointing but ok. There were a number of people taking the same flight and they were all changed as well.
I think it would have been nice of HAL to phone back and thank me for telling them about the problem and saving them from having to deal with a bunch of stranded passengers and possibly having to pay for hotels and booking other flights. After all, they made a mistake and we could have all paid for it.
I agree with you, a simple "thank you" would of been nice, just chalk it up to inconsiderate people, they are everywhere, but also a lot of nice thoughtful people. Have a great cruise, it will be nice to just step onboard and enjoy the week.
Next cruise, think about just booking your own air and possibly going in a day earlier so you can see the sights. In most cases you can save a lot on the flights, and enough to enjoy that extra day in your embarkment city.
