I saw 7nt cruise advertised at a good price only to find out it's an inside upper/lower guarantee, which means your cabin is unknown til checkin.
It's an inside cabin with bunkbeds. On the otherhand, I was told by the TA that I would more than likely get an upgrade to a cabin with both beds on the floor. I will cross my fingers and hope for an upgraded cabin in a great location. The advertisement was very misleading but I gave in. I pray we have a beautiful cruise.
I have always booked a 1A Gty on Carnival and have yet to see the inside of one. Usually upgraded to a 4A or 4B, only once to a 4D, but just remember, you should never, ever book anything you wouldn't be willing to accept.
I'm still curious what line you have booked, as I don't know of any lines with bunk beds in any of the rooms now. The last ship I saw with these was the NCL Norway. As we all know, this ship is long gone.
There are bunkbed cabins on Carnival. But, they can bring in a spare bed and make the bottom bunk into a queen. Cabin is a lot larger than you might think. Friends who had never been on a cruise booked that. I was afraid it might put them off cruising, but they loved it. We saw their cabin and it was definitely okay. Not a suite, but at a fraction of the price. I would book one if it meant going again before I thought I could afford to.
