so anyone know any good jokes?

people seem to post a lot and if they want to go off on tangent who cares this is all about fun, not about work. I cruise to relax not get all worked up.

I agree!
I cruise to relax and I come here to think about my next cruise and to enjoy everyone else's experiences.

Wish I could think of a good joke ... the latest ones I've heard are very political, however!

Next trip, when it is just the wife and I, we will try out an all-inclusive.
My cruise leaves in 16 days and at this point, I am just ready to get on the ship.
I do pledge to you, when I get back I will try to have a full review of the cruise within a week. I will also try to find a good cookie recipe. And of course, I will stop at the Collins Street Bakery, on my way down to Galveston to enjoy a sample of fruitcake.
I am happy that I have assisted in getting so many of you a little closer to Admiral.
RevJeff, you sure brightened my day!

Have a wonderful cruise -- fair seas and blue skies the whole time!

Here's a joke for you.

Q: What do you get when you ask one serious question about an excursion?
A: Fourteen Admirals, three cat fights, two cookie recipes, and no answer to your question.

Here's another one.

Knock, Knock.
Who's there?
I don't know anything about your question, but I went to Corona Beach on my last cruise.

BRING BACK MY JUNIOR MINTS!!!

excellent jokes, reverend jeff! Humor is always appreciated and needed.

I'm thinking that a 12 lb. Nestle's Crunch Bar is sounding pretty good right about now....

Just in case you're looking for your next cruise, we're on the 12/3 Volendam for 10 days in the so. Caribbean. It would be great to have some more PH's on board! Even if you're not a full-fledged PH it would still be fun. Once in a while HAL even has a JB trivia contest (we cleaned up )

but that would be radical and fanatical in a good way

Our local PH chapter just held a fund raiser and was able to donate $11,000 to a local shelter and we donate time each summer helping clean debris out of the Mississippi River, among other things--we just have fun while doing it!

My brother moonlights as a photographer. He did photos for my hometown high school last month. The class of 1965 was in town, and so he went to take their reunion.
I had no idea that there had been a celebrity in my high school.
Mr. Utley!
My brother claims he will send me a photo of his "brush with fame."

How cool ... post it here when you get it! Michael Utley is awesome! The man always looks like he's enjoying himself on stage.

And not to be a nit-picker, RevJeff, but Buffett has 2 T's.
I'm sure your spelling error is cruise-related!

There's a midnight buffet ... and there's Jimmy Buffett!

Don't worry Eric ... we were never "on" topic in this thread.
Which is the beauty of the whole thing.

It's a Cruise Mates stream-of-consciousness thread.

Excellent! He is quite the celebrity in PH circles! Our local tribute band, the Boat Drunks, has been joined by Doyle and TC at our local fundraisers and draw quite a crowd.

Yes Fruitcake, I guess you could say I made a slip. I have been going through my usual pre-cruise training routine, and I guess I had food on the brain.
My spelling has never been that good anyway. By the way, I never got a grip on penmanship.
Name that tune.

I kept singing the words but couldn't place it at first.

You are good!

If I was doing my chores around the house then I would not be able to post this useless post and read all the useless responses.

I think it has to do with the electronic age 5 second attention span-or is it three now? Wait what was I saying?

A random thoughts thread is exactly what some of us need!

Fieldmouse, I hear ya! I could not believe the numbers on the weather maps these days. Yikes!
Plus there are power outages, no?

Yup...I'll have a Oatmeal chocolate chip, please...oh...go ahead...make it two!!

They have opened a lot of cooling stations here... and yes, there have been electrical outages...which are serious because that means your air conditioning is off too! We hope that next week it will be cooler. If it's hot during the day, then cools down at night... that would be a big help...

Would love to be on a cruise to Alaska right now!!!

You know, I don't come to the gripes section very often. I have very little to gripe about, so what's the need.

I received an e-mail from someone that said go to gripes, and here I am.

I noticed that on the day I was leaving for my cruise, I was also being talked about. Not in a very good way. I want to know exactly what I have done wrong. I apologised for "hijacking the post" I said I was sorry. I have tried to be careful since then. I have stopped posting the title in caps, because it does something to make people crazy. I didn't start the ranking stuff, and could care less if it disappeared today. It's not like we get to eat in the officers dining room.

The part about me posting so much is a joke. If I have learned nothing else in the last year, it is that this board is supported by people posting. The more you post, the better the advertisers like it, and the happier the owners are. I was a student here, and now I am able to give back and teach others who were just like me a year ago. There is another board out there who will flat out tell you to go and do your research instead of asking the same questions over and over again. We don't do that. I will try to answer your question and then direct you to another part of Cruisemates for you to get more info

As far as "some people have no life so they post" What an arrogant thing to say. If that was directed at me then I am happy to say, that I have a life. I am just able to walk and chew gum at the same time!!!

Thanks Will You had my back!!

Yes, Lisa I have come a long way!!!

Now, I am going back to the Carnival site to answer many questions that come in, and to encourage those who are scared to post, because they see stuff like this and don't want to be attacked.

I am all for the amen corner, but when the devil is biting you in the butt, it's time to speak up.

Luanne

Luanne, I don't get it.

Most of the people here were having fun.
Trying to be random ... trying to cajole RevJeff into laughter!

Luanne, I am sorry that you have been led to believe that this thread is all about you. You are not the first, nor will you be the last to hi-jack a post. Early on in this thread it became apparent that darn near every post was meant to be light-hearted. If your feelings, or the feelings of others have been hurt, I am sorry.
The gripes section is where people can vent their frustrations and move on. Maybe some of the posters took a shot at you, but those same folks would be willing to buy you a beverage on a cruise. We are sort of a wacky family here in my opinion. I do not always agree with some of the members, as I am sure they do not agree with me. Thank God this is a large enough ship that we can each have a great time.

Hi Luanne,
I didn't notice anything mean in what people where saying but then my sister always tells me I am an airhead. Hey, what does she mean by that comment?
I like to read everything that people write and switching post topics? It makes it interesting in my opinion-random thoughts flowing along.

Luanne....your a good person,,, but chill my friend

This is a "vapor ware world" its not real, since 99.9% of the folks on this or any other board have not actually met you, spoken to you and got to know you as an individual.

What's important are the people you deal with and live with in real life, not on here or on other boards. But I can see where your dilemma is, as I nearly went there by getting so involved in an illusion that was not reality.

So much so, that it got the "Admiral" DavidB banned on two sites Here and the substitutes site...You were there and seen it.

So someone does not like you or me on a message board...what? I'm going to lose sleep, well maybe at one time I would have, but this is not real life

Everyone here is not real, it should not affect anyone’s lives. Do yourself a favor and get out of all the loops, chill, reflect and come back into it all when you realize exactly how shallow, petty and insignificant it all is.

And that advice is not just for my friend Lu
