Ah, I remembered my gripe.
I have been contemplating my next cruise, in the fall, on HAL [of course].
And I got to thinking of sitting out on my balcony, watching the world go by, enjoying .... what? No dark beer?
That is my gripe. HAL carries all varieties of beer ... but NO dark beer! How hard would it be for them to stock, say, Beck's Dark or Negra Modelo? Just ONE brand of dark beer would make me happy.
Guess I'll stick with mojitos and margaritas.
Now that’s a gripe. Any post re beer is a good gripe :D
No dark beer on HAL. But as standard it seems they can offer pureed food in the restaurant to their punters , but no dark beer. I'll take that on board :D
Okay, I’ll wait 20 years before I have to take that one up with the management. LOL
Sorry pal that was naughty… But I agree especially as a European, your beer sucks. God that B*d stuff, gives me indigestion and heartburn and its number one available on all ships. What type of beer is that in color?
Is dark beer like our British Ale?
They don't carry the beer I like either.....Killian's Red, Amber Bock, Yuengling. They carry the standards, Miller, Budweiser, yuck! I find myself drinking Mojitos and Dirty Martinis but I'm really a beer person and miss my favorites when I cruise. I'm going to have to try Beck's Dark, yum!
DBG: Think Guinness.
I'm just wishing they would stock ONE type of dark beer, I don't care who makes it!
My favorite of all time is Blackened Voodoo Lager -- from the Dixie Brewing Co. in NOLA.
I don't expect HAL to carry that!
[Though I could get it at Port Orleans in Walt Disney World!]
I'd just like a cold beer on a hot day sometimes, and I have to agree with DBG on American brews such as Bud, Miller, etc.
I realize that can't carry every type of liquor and please everyone.
I'm not asking for a specific brand. Just for one dark beer ... among a dozen or so light ales.
