Who else on here thinks the TP and facial tissues on the ships really rubs your skin raw? Sorry, no pun intended.

I don't know about you, but the TP they use is a far lower grade than what you get in the el cheapo department stores and restaurants...

Yes, I know, its a strange gripe...too bad I can't bring a roll of my own, but I know the septic systems on the ship are sensitive and having a toilet backup wouldn't be pleasant...

Yes, my life is simple to ***** about TP.....

I totally agree...I thought the TP was harsh at the Disney resorts but the TP on Carnival is worse.

Honestly, I didn't notice whether the TP on the Legend was of poor quality or not. I was too impressed how clean and organized the BR was, I guess.

I agree re. TP and facial tissues. I bring my own Kleenex, but have had seriously sore bum on longer cruises! oOW :evil:

I never thought too much about it until I got to the end of the roll and noticed that it said: 80 Grit.

I thought everyone knew that they use the John Wayne toilet paper on all the cruise ships. It's rough and tough and won't take s**** off of anybody!

Seriously though, if it really bothers you you can ask your room steward to break out the good stuff, at least on Carnival you can.

And you know they even place the TP with the sheet coming off the bottom instead of over the top...gasp!

Yes my friend you are indeed living the good life when all you have to complain about is the grit factor of your TP, have the free time to post such a thread on this board, and the guts to do so.

Well SOMEONE had to mention it!

Hmm, I'll be on the Triumph Sept 15-22 and the Conquest Feb 3-10....Let me know where to meet and I'll be there!!!!

I wonder if I could get away with bringing in a roll of my own TP? Perhaps I'll ask the steward for the good stuff 8)

I think they have to use a special texture of TP for the vacuum toilets onboard cruise ships. I think regular TP would probably clog up the works.

Pity we will miss one another, my wife and I sail on the Summit, January 26th. Still, should we ever meet the offer is still there.

When you ask for the good stuff, just say you want it off the top shelf, well it works for the booze anyway ...

Yeah, we have it pretty rough don't we? Especially when you think of all the U.S. infantrymen in Iraq who are maybe able to shower once a month, in the desert. Or how about alot of the staff on board the cruise ships themselves who pamper our spoiled a***s and work 14 hrs a day, 7 days a week for six months at a time and live near the very bottom of the ship. I guess I, or anyone else, could go on and on with other expamples but maybe think of some of these folks before complaining about something that is truly nothing. Gut up a bit.

It is designed to break down rapidly so that the Collection tanks do not have to be quite so large and also so that any paper remaining in the lines will dissolve.

Same quality that you have in your boat or RV.

I was staying at a hotel in Sitges, Spain that had TP so harsh that I took a section and wrote a letter to a friend back home on it. It was about the same thickness as a grocery bag.

Also, the whole town's plumbing was water drawn directly out of the Med. All saltwater. This is why Spain uses a lot of glycerene soap, as this is the only thing that will cut the salt in the water.

I always do my business in the early AM soon after my first cup of coffee, Then I take a shower and am able to get anything missed by the coarse TP with the removable shower head. It also feels good too.
