I have read the different post and now, even though you have not asked I am going to add my 2cents worth.
I would never dream of going into a restaurant for breakfast and bringing my own eggs to lower the costs. I can not afford to have more than a few drinks at cruise ship prices, so I choose when I will have them and enjoy every last drop. I head up to the lido for some ice tea or punch and enjoy that with my evenings entertainment. But I would never "smuggle" alcohol on board. (Although I have seen some very inventive ideas for doing so.) If the need for alcohol outweighs your pocketbook, that is a problem. There is so much fun and so many friendly people on board I just don't think alcohol it is a requirement to having a good time.

When I first read this post I thought to myself "Really?? Who the hell would steal things from a cruise ship??" A couple of days later I saw a couple of wine glasses in my cabinet that came from the Carnival Victory......oops......
