! I can relate to the voices.

I like to get in the elevator and stare at that person in the mirror...smiling.
Of course I never look "at them". Just them in the mirror.

I'll also say "excuse me", loud enough and some rude pax will get it, and smile or say, "excuse me", "sorry", whatever.

Triton you hear the voices to? Do they warn you about the squirrels? Beware the squirrels, especially if they get on the elevator with you.

Oh absolutely. The squirrels only in the Aft elevators; however, my voices warn me about the flying monkeys in the Forward elevators.

I think I'll stick to the stairs on my next cruise.

It is, it is all sooooo funny, just like the guy who goes to the toilet for number 2's and does not wash his/her hands afterwards, then touches the lift button, then the rail in the lift and then touches the floor buttons to get to the buffet,,,mmm your call from there on acceptance.

Why do I post this, because people that don’t wash after wiping would have no problem standing on you or me to get in a lift first,,,,,why, they are selfish.

All these things relate back to the environment and social education that some have, and some dont. Wish I could pick a ship that was full of "some have"

That I can gripe about as I see it,,,the other things out with my vision that they do,,, but I don’t,,,well until I’m ill that night.

Triton,
If I remember right, you said in another post that you are 6'7". You probably get better results with a nice, loud "excuse me" than I do!

While I agree that this is both disgusting and unhealthy, it also runs deeper than a social education. Much like we need food and shelter before we care about "self actualization", we must conquer personal hygiene before we can attempt to master the social graces.

Unfortunately neither prevents neanderthals from booking a cruise

Hi Marty...lol, I guess I do and really forget how tall I am...unless of course I'm in the mirrored elevator and see I'm a head or two over many.

Parrot Pop walks with a cane and what drives him crazy are those people with baby strollers who just barge right through.. Next cruise he will have a
"rollator"..a type of walker.. With Triton being 6'7" I'll just stand behind him and leave when leaves..but seriously a big "excuse me".. usually helps.. I do ffeel sorry for those people on wheel chairs or scooters..who have to wait for an almost empty elevator.. and those are few and far between on cruise shipsl

Here's one for you. A few cruises ago my friends and I were in the elevaotor when a lovely elderly couple came in. As usual I was goofing and and started telling the old elevator joke that goes --- 5th floor, x-ray, sting ray, etc., etc. Then I said next stop 'the Libido deck' instead of the Lido deck. The elderly woman looked at her companion and said "Dear did you hear what he said?? The Libido deck!!!" with a big smile . The gentleman smiled and both got off holding hands and just chuckling away.

It was so cute and started our cruise off with a good start.

Now there's an idea. We'll go on Triton's cruises and just follow him around. Maybe we could call ourselves the Tritonettes, like a back up group. Oh wait, I sing like a sick frog. Maybe I could use that to clear an elevator.

A ha, the perfect solution for pushy peeps! Go ahead let them elbow you out of the way to get on the elevator first....they'll have to move to the back wall as you get on.....there they are, at your mercy...behind you....let 'er rip!

Okay why is that not my surprise for a Friday night
What that didn't shock the heck out of you? My brother is the only quiet person in my family. The rest of us are loud.
Kat,
Sis is a very quite person!
Joyce and I would cruise with her anytime, anywhere!

How about those who don't understand the up and down buttons?

1. The button is illuminated and people are standing there, but there is always someone who walks up, looks at the illuminated button, and pushes it again anyway, as if this will somehow speed up the elevators.

2. The elevator is full and everyone can't get on but someone keeps pushing the button before the full elevator has left, which means it sits there with the door constantly opening and closing.
