Shared ride from Houston to Galveston?

Hi!

We are two swedish students going on our first cruise ever with RCI Mariner of the Seas the 24 of march.
Unfortuneatly we´re not able to rent a car and it seems impossible to get from Houston to Galveston by train or bus.
Is there anybody who wants to share a taxi to Galveston?
We´re leaving from downtown Houston (staying at the Crowne Plaza downtown) the 23 of march to spend one night in Galveston before the cruise. Happy if we could bring down the expenses!
