Default cabins

Hi there, my husband and I are considering going on the 14 night French river crusises on the Viking Burgundy and Viking Normandie ships in Sept/October 04. I was looking at the pictures of the cabins, and it looks like there are 2 twin beds? I was wondering if any of you know if the beds can be moved together or if you just sleep in twin beds the whole time?

Thanks for your input!

I'm not familiar with the VIKING NORMANDIE, but the beds on the VIKING BURGUNDY are definitely twins that are fixed to opposite walls of the cabin.

Beds can be put together like on any cruise ship on the Pride and Spirit style ships in top 3 cabins, A,B,C I think they are. I did Danube cruise last Nov. and found Viking extremely pleasant to work with. I had a taxi bill from going to the ship when it wasn't there due to water level and their problem, not mine. Returned home and mailed them the receipt and a nice letter about it and got the money refunded and small certificate towards a future trip. I know there are complaints here but I acted nicely and they sure acted first class with me.

It is so nice to hear of your experiences. I have read so many negative, that I was beginning to regret my decision for an upcoming Rhine-Danube cruise in June.

We've been on the Burgundy, but not on the Normandie; so from first-hand experience I can respond the the beds on Burgundy are in twin configuration, attached to opposite walls. I think the Normandie offers the same configuration C'est dommage!

Bon voyage,
