Has anyone sailed to Belize on the Wind Star? I love the ship, but I'm wondering about the itinerary? In addtion to water sports, which I love, are there opportunities to tour some of the Mayan ruins and the rainforest?
We just returned from the Windstar on the Belize cruise. There are a few shore excursions that you can take. If anybody wants more info e-mail me and I can snail mail you the information I have from the ship. We did one excursion and It was great. This was tubing down a river through a cave. the cost was $74 pp and included lunch. We walked trhrough the jungle in Belize for about a mile in the mud with our intertub. We came to the river and tubed through two caves. This took about an hour to get down the river. It was a blast. All in all the entire cruise was great. There were mostly privite islands that we went to and there was only one day with no excursion available to you.
Thanks for the feedback. Did you snorkel at all, and if so, how was it? Did they offer excursions to Hol Chan Marine Reserve or Shark-Ray Alley? Any transportation available to Ambergris Caye? Thanks.
I LOVE Windstar. One of if not the best cruise I have ever done. We went mostly to privite uninhabited islands. I didn;t snorle but my husband did and said it was great. We did go tubing through some caves in Belize. That was a lot of fun and a lot of walking through the jungle to get to the river.
