Shopping in Edinburgh port is easy enough since this very culturally mixed city offers something for everyone. You will find Scottish souvenirs in most areas, as well as high end goods and even gourmet treats to take home with you. There are also design stores, music shops and fashion boutiques readily available to you.
A good place to start is with the main shopping area, which is located on Princess Street. Visit Frasers or stop by Debenhams. The George Street region offers more of the upscale boutiques where you can find discounted, name brand clothing lines. Visit St Andrew's Square, Grassmarket, or Williams Street for more shopping opportunities.
Things to Do
Depending on the amount of time you have in the Edinburgh port, you may need to move quickly to see all there is to do. The city divides in two: Old Town and New Town. In the Old Town region, you will find what looks like a medieval town. This is where you will find an old castle to visit. Perhaps the best way to see everything there is to in Edinburgh port is to take one of the bus tours. They virtually line up right at the Edinburg cruise terminal to take you. Just allow yourself enough time for a few strolls through the city's narrow streets, too.
Restaurants and Bars
While pubs and bars are located throughout the shopping district, you may want to head into some of the nicer restaurants. There are four major restaurants in the tourism area of the city, each holding thousands of guests at a time. Sabor offers traditional Scottish foods while Alfredo's Ristorante Italiano is an upscale Italian restaurant. The two others include Room in the Town and 36 Great King Street, both of which offer international cuisine and Scottish favorites.
