The Fred.Olsen Cruise Lines' longest cruising ship, the Black Prince, will take its farewell cruise in the fall of 2009. The 451 passenger vessel has been cruising for more than 40 years. Fred.Olsen Cruise Lines has dubbed the Black Prince Ship 'a little ship with a big heart and soul.'

Cuisine
The Black Prince has three restaurants onboard; the Fleur de Lys Restaurant, the Balblom Restaurant, and the Royal Garter Restaurant. The two main restaurants, the Fleur de Lys and the Royal Garter, allow for open seating for breakfast, while lunch and dinner are served in two seatings. The Royal Garter is the largest of the three restaurants offering a picturesque view of the landscape as you cruise. The casual Balblom Restaurant offers a more relaxed setting to enjoy your meal. Served buffet style you have your choice of indoor or veranda seating. Lastly, room service is available from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.
Entertainment and Nightlife
Whether you are looking for a Las Vegas style show or a quiet place to enjoy a cocktail, the Black Prince has options that you may appealing. The Neptune Lounge offers cabaret shows in the evening or the ships' band will play tunes that will have you dancing well into the evening. The Aquatine Lounge and the Lido Lounge offer are great places to order a drink and enjoy the company of your friends and fellow passengers. The Lido Louge even allows you to catch some of the action going on in the Neptune. If you wish to try your luck, visit The Cove for a variety of casino style machines for you to play.
Cabins
Built in 1966, the Black Prince is one of the older ship still cruising. The staterooms are conservative and intimate. Standard amenities you will find include a television, individually controlled air conditioning and a hair dryer, but are missing several items like telephones and internet service that veteran cruisers will have grown accustomed too. Select staterooms have in-room refrigerators and two have been designated as handicapped accessible. Non-smokers will be delighted to learn that the Black Prince has a non-smoking policy for all of its staterooms. There are seven categories of staterooms from the single inside stateroom to the junior suite.
Recreation
The Black Prince offers a range of relaxing and more active activities for its passengers. If you are looking to be pampered visit the Atlantis Spa. The Spa is where an experienced massage therapist can work your tired muscles or you can get a fresh new haircut in the salon. Also on the Black Prince is the Marina Park where you can take your turn at a variety of water sports or just go for a dip in one of the two swimming pools. The Fitness Center is equipped with treadmills, cycling machines, weights and other equipment to help you continue your workout routine while you're away from home.
