Built in 2007, the Costa Serena cruise ship has a total passenger capacity of 3,000. It is the sister ship of the Costa Concordia which shares its status as the longest and largest ships in the fleet.

Cuisine
The Vesta and Ceres Restaurants are the ships two main dining rooms. They are two-tiered, serve breakfast, lunch and dinner, have occasional formal evenings and require reservations at dinnertime.
The Samsara restaurant acts as part of the Serena’s focus on health and wellness, serving health conscious dishes to cruise-goers.
The Bacco club is an exclusive, a la carte gourmet dining experience where only dinner is served. A cover charge applies and reservations are required.
The Prometeo Buffet Restaurant gives guests a wide array of dishes and cuisines at various times of the day.
The Juventas Café is a coffee bar that serves hot specialty drinks as well as dessert items like pastries.
Entertainment and Nightlife
The Giove Theatre has a variety of nightly entertainment including dancers, ice carvers, comedians, live bands, Broadway and Vegas-style shows and more.
The Serena provides a range of bar and club atmospheres to satisfy many tastes. There is a sports bar, cigar bar, piano bar, dance club, pool bar and more. If that’s not exciting enough, check out the Giano Casino’s card rooms, slot machines and table games for a thrill.
Cabins
Inside staterooms are approximately 130 square feet and come with two lower beds, TV, air-conditioning, private bathroom, 24-hour room service, safe, telephone and hair dryer.
Oceanview staterooms are a more spacious 150 square feet and the two beds are convertible to a queen size.
Suites are much larger at about 410 square feet and have extra amenities like a sitting area, personal butler service, sofa bed, bathrobe and slippers to use on the cruise. Double sinks, choice of pillow from Costa Cruises pillow menu, daily delivery of the lunch and dinner menus and a whirlpool tub.
Recreation
The Samsara Spa and Wellness Center offers a host of treatments, activities and facilities. The sports and fitness center is modern and equipped with free weights, weight machines and cardio machines. It also has a variety of exercise classes available.
The Serena has a host of fun, leisurely activities to participate in its various public rooms. Choose from activities like shore excursion briefings, port preview lectures, art gallery tours, golf lessons, movies, wine tastings, bingo, trivia, card games, cooking demonstrations and much more.
Taking the Kids
Kids and teens can enjoy supervised activities and scheduled programs appropriate for their respective age groups. Ages 3-6 is known as “Mini", 7-11 is “Maxi”, ages 12-14 is “Teen Junior” and “Teen” covers ages 15-17.
Onboard Fees
