It seems like there’s no end to big rock cruise news and this week’s announcements are off the charts! Here are the latest updates to some of the biggest regular rock cruises coming soon. 


February 19 – 23, 2015

The biggest full charter rock cruises at sea will now feature Alice Cooper, with the Doobie Brothers, 38 Special and more.

Paul Motter, the editor of CruiseMates, is a huge fan of this series of classic rock cruises. The first Rock Legends Cruise 1 (2012) featured ZZ Top, George Thorogood, Molly Hatchet, Johnny Winter, Dickie Betts and more. RLC2 featured Paul Rodgers (Bad Company), Foreigner and many, many more bands.

Rock Legends Cruise 3 will sail in February 2015, and the BIG, BIG news just announced yesterday is that Alice Cooper and his band will also be joining the upcoming Rock Legends Cruise 3. Alice will be doing his biggest hits plus tracks from his newest album. In addition another new act was announced, Eddie Money.

The 2015 star-studded cast also includes The Doobie Brothers, 38 Special, The Marshall Tucker Band, Dickey Betts, Blue Oyster Cult, Uriah Heep, The Edgar Winter Band, Kim Simmonds and Savoy Brown, Pat Travers Band, The Blue Lords and more to be announced.  

This is the largest rock cruise charter in the business, taking over Royal Caribbean's 156,000-ton  Liberty of the Seas. Fares begin at just $1,099 per person, double occupancy, so book it now before this cruise sells out again.

Special Guest Roger Daltrey of the Who will join the Moody Blues on this special cruise coming this April, 2014.

MSC Divina is making waves in Miami but what’s really going to rock the boat is “The Moody Blues Cruise II” which will give guests a chance to sail with classic rock icons like The Moody Blues and Roger Daltrey of the Who and win a custom 2013 Mini-Cooper–talk about a souvenir!

Guests aboard “The Moody Blues Cruise” may purchase raffle tickets benefiting the Stand Up and Shout Cancer Fund ( established by Wendy Dio in memory of her husband, heavy metal vocalist Ronnie James Dio, who lost his battle with stomach cancer in 2010.   Dubbed “The Moody Cooper,” the car, hoisted aboard MSC Divina with a 20-story crane, will be displayed on the pool deck throughout the cruise. James Taylor celebrates the  Queen Mary 2 tenth anniversary during an 8-day crossing that departs New York on August 27th

Cunard’s Queen Mary 2; August 27 -  September 4, 2014. Fares begin at $2,088 per person

The ship also calls at Halifax, Nova Scotia, before crossing the Atlantic to Southampton, England.  The Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter and his band will perform two special concerts during the voyage, each taking place in the ship’s Royal Court Theater.   This isn’t “Sweet Baby James’” first visit aboard QM2.  In June 2009, the star, band and crew sailed Transatlantic, using the crossing to rehearse for their European summer tour.  For additional information, visit QM2 - James Taylor
