Hey, its frowned upon, but in my experience, the only items they really have an issue with is alcohol brought onboard in a concealed method. Soda and water aren't usually a hassle, and certainly have never been in Port Canaveral. We've been on the Monarch 4 times, on the Sovereign (ship it replaced) 20+ times and otherwise have sailed out of Canaveral over 40 times and never had an issue with items being confiscated from our luggage. I'll be on the Monarch on the 4 night prior to your sailing. I'll see about updating this thread after we've boarded to give you an additional heads up if something has changed.
