Well some people may think it is reality - but it does reflect who a cruise line wants to attract. They want you to "see yourself" in that commercial. If you want families, put kids in your commercial.
The thing that really concerns me in this thread is the passenger hurling over the side of the ship. I'd hate to be enjoying my balcony below them and receive that
