I have been on Splendour back in 07; took the same cruise thru the med; we started out of Venice, went to Dubrovnik, Ephasus, Santorini, Corfu, and back to Venice. Splendour is smaller than most of Royal Caribbean's newer ships; but she was in great condition, the food was excellent, the Chef is from Austria; so all the desserts were out of this world delicious; and the weather in May is wonderful. The other thread mentioned that in Europe and the Med the shore excursions are more about the history of the cities you visit. In Ephasus we visited the ancient ruins of Ephasus; this is where the apostle Paul preached and taught to the Ephisians for three years; great tour; in Corfu we visited a Greek Monestary, another good tour; in Santorini, which is an absolutely gorgeous island; we went tyo the town of Oia and Fira; great shopping, Dubrovnik and the ancient city has so much history and the city(which is surrounded by stone walls), was a great experience; we booked all our excursions thru royal caribbean. if u have any more questions please ask.
