There will not be any RCL ships on the West coast anymore after Mariner pulls out in February so I you want to stay over there you will have no choice but to look at Carnival or Princess.

If you are willing to go to the East coast I would recommend Celebrity as it is much more adult oriented. Not that it doesn't have kids because it does, just not in the numbers RCL has. RCL is a family oriented cruiselines these days and they really cater to families.

Princess is probably more to your liking as well as it is also more adult oriented.
