The last dozen cruises or more we have been taking DH suit and clean dress shirts in our carry on so when we get to the cabin we just put the suit out for dry cleaning and the shirts for pressing only. It is the same price as home and lot less packing stress. Works really well cruising out of Europe. For the other items, I place half a dry cleaning bag in between each layer laying the pants in first with the legs hanging out then the shirts with the sleeves out then shorts, t-shirts, pj, etc in the middle, folding everything in on top and the result is no wrinkles or creases. This works for us. If we are going a couple days early, those items are packed in a small carry-on or placed on top. Google for great advice and videos.
