Yes: I am a balcony snob. The only way I would take an inside cabin would be if it was free and the itinerary was too good to pass up. I had an inside cabin once.................once and never again.
The cabin does make a major difference in my cruise experience. I am not one who spends 20 hours a day in my cabin but I also do not just shower and sleep there. I want a comfortable cabin.
