It was a blast meeting cool Americans in Europe. You'd be surprised how rarely that actually happens.

HAHAH! Great story, Paul. It is very true. the trains in europe are cheap....for a reason. Renting a car, flying, cruising... are all more efficient and comfortable than taking a train Even the ICE trains (The really fast ones that make me feel slow driving at 100mph) have complicated itineraries and are pricey.

Reason number 1 billion why I am glad I have my own transportation around europe (car/ bike). Driving 8 hrs to Venice to my cruise should be fun tho
