I've never had a problem with the Xray scans, but I always use a lead foil bag to carry film (you may have to open it for hand inspection). It's also a good idea to protect any video tapes and cassettes you're carrying. Be careful about exposing high speed film to high temperatures as well. Professional film is especially sensitive to heat.
p.s. What's up with our countdown clocks? It seems the site that provides them is off by a few days. Oh well, that gives me more time to pack for tomorrow's departure, I guess.
