Only been up there once, (ferry from Skagway to Pr
. Rupert) but did live in Prince Rupert BC for 9 years. That's 90mi south of Ketchikan so am familiar with the weather. In most years I think May/early June was decent, the main plus being the lack of sea fog (more fog in August).
I will be packing both cameras, but no additional lenses for the SLR- at 20yrs old it still takes great pics.
