In Costa Maya in the shopping area plaza, there is a man who paints tiles. They are quite pretty and inexpensive. While I was looking at them trying to decide which one to buy, he painted a fresh one just for me and put "Costa Maya, Mexico" at the bottom. He put it in a plastic foam box so it would not smudge. It was a standard tile -- maybe 4" square?
It cost me $5.
I also bought a larger one for about $15.
They are both tropical-type scenes.
I thought the Mexican silver was expensive, though a bought a few pieces.
