How is August for Alaska?

We've booked the Radiance of the Seas for Aug.10, 2002. This is the only time we can cruise, so hopefully the weather,etc. will be okay in Alaska that time of the year? Any thought? Thanks!

We went to Alaska last year at just that time of year and found the weather to be in the 60's, but had some rainy days. I guess that's normal though. We're going back again, sailing on the Celebrity Mercury from Seward to Vancouver on Aug 10th. I'll wave as we pass.

Better than in January....
Weather in Alaska is going to be hit and miss.. but you wont be facing any really frigid days in Aug.
