I looked up the info on Princess page, trip leaves Ketchikan to Naha Bay in the Tongess Nat. Forest. Stop at Salmon Falls Resort with a motorcoach back.. My concern is the phrase "see the homes of rural Alaskans". Am I going to tour riverfront homes? Also confusing to me, coach up, short jet boat trip and coach back??. We have done wild rapid jet boat trip on the Rogue River in Oregon, those were fun.
Thanks for the suggestion it might be boring, any more input??
I replied via email but my opinion is, money would probably be better spent elsewhere. There are no "mansions" on the water front in Alaska and Ketchikan has a lot of waterfront industrial areas, no likely wildlife unless you count the salmon runs. Part of the area you are sailing is the same as your cruise ship. No likely rapids.
